On the Practice of Hakims in the North-Western Provinces

My lot has been cast in a part of the country where I have principally to deal with Mahomedans whose habit it is, during sickness, to resort to English medicine as the last resource after native medicines have failed to cure. I thus come a good deal into contact with the hakims concerning whose practice I have acquired some information, which I now propose to relate.
